For rescue squads, ambulance corps, and career EMS

Keep the ambulance staffed and every card current.

TurnoutFlow runs recruiting, credentials, CE hours, crew coverage, and rig checks for EMS agencies, and tells your officers what needs doing next. It works alongside the ePCR you already use.

Where the time goes

Three places an EMS agency loses hours and crews.

Your officers are running calls, teaching CPR, and holding down day jobs. These are the jobs that eat what is left.

The ambulance can’t roll with a crew of one.

Members mark when they can cover and pick up open shifts from their phone. A crew short a driver or an EMT opens a task for staff days ahead, and TurnoutFlow can email the members who hold that position and are not away.

Recert season turns into a scramble.

Each member’s NREMT, CPR, ACLS, PALS, and EVOC sit on one record with their expiry dates. The member is reminded before a card lapses, and staff get a task, not a surprise at the audit.

The rig check lives on a clipboard.

Ambulance and jump-bag checks run from members’ phones on a schedule. Expiring supplies are flagged, a failed item opens a work order that stays open until it is fixed, and officers get one email a day about overdue checks.

Straight answers

What EMS chiefs ask first.

Does this replace our ePCR?
No. TurnoutFlow holds no patient care data, so keep your ePCR for patient care reports. ePCR is planned, and it will ship only after its compliance work, HIPAA and NEMSIS among it, is done.
We are EMS only. Does the incident reporting apply to us?
Incident reporting in TurnoutFlow is built for NERIS, the national fire reporting system, so it serves fire-based EMS and combination departments. For an EMS-only agency the value is in recruiting, credentials, CE, crew scheduling, and rig checks.
Can it track our controlled substances?
No. Rig and bag checks cover equipment and expiration dates, never medications. Keep your controlled-substance log where it is.
Does it page our crews?
Dispatch alerts to members’ phones are coming with the TurnoutFlow phone app, so keep your paging system until then. Today members say when they are available from the app, and staff can email the members who could fill a short crew.
We are a fire department that runs the ambulance.
Then all of it applies: the same record covers your firefighters and your EMTs, and your incident reports go to NERIS from TurnoutFlow.
